Family law is the most significant unmet legal need in BC

Rise Women’s Legal Centre is helping to change that. Donate

Right now, women across British Columbia are struggling to navigate the family legal system. Alone, without support and unable to afford a family lawyer, they have to choose between self-representation or abandoning their rights and entitlements.

That’s where Rise comes in – we provide pro bono legal services to ensure that all women in BC can access justice. Right now, we are experiencing unprecedented demand and need your support. Of the thousands of women we support each year, two thirds of them can’t afford a lawyer but aren’t eligible for legal aid. 80% of them are experiencing family violence.

You can help us today by giving One Billable Hour’s cost. Make your time count today and give to Rise, so we can ensure that all women, regardless of income, can access legal support, services, and justice.
