The Legal Navigator provides direct services for clients who are experiencing family violence and involves helping clients to navigate the legal system through the provision of legal information, assistance with applications to legal aid, and referrals to community organisations. Many clients at Rise only access legal navigation before being referred out to other services, and navigation appointments should be prioritized over additional advocacy work. The Legal Navigator also screens clients into Rise programs and helps ensure that clients receive a coordinated response from staff and students.
