Family Advocate Educator

Our Family Advocate Educator, Andrea Bryson works with Law Foundation funded family law advocates to provide training, coaching and mentorship so that they are supported to provide their best support to survivors of family violence.

Andrea provides different opportunities for the advocates in forms of micro training to advanced training. There are:

  • weekly Open Office Hours

  • monthly “Afternoons with Andrea” for advanced training

  • invited guest speakers, who are working in the family law system and can provide a unique perspective based for advocates

  • recorded trainings through Rise’s e-learning platform. All Law Foundation funded family law advocates and get free access to the courses.

“Since I am a newer advocate, I often run into new situations where I don't know what the best next step to take is. [FAE] takes time to listen to the details of the issue and works to tackle the issue together. I would not be able to do my job as effectively without the family advocate educator being there.”
